CAPTRUST Summer Internship

CAPTRUST is an investment management-advisory firm headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. We provide investment advisory services to retirement plan fiduciaries, endowments and foundations and wealth planning services to executives, business owners, and families.

The summer internship program at CAPTRUST is a world-class experience that provides exposure to the inner workings of an investment advisory firm. All interns will receive department specific work in addition to participating in several other activities such as:

• Weekly speakers covering a broad spectrum of relevant business knowledge like resume building and interview skills, goal setting and career planning, and general professionalism
• Panels featuring various employees, including former interns and leaders of our Inclusion and Diversity Committee and Employee Resource Groups
• Social events that allow networking across departments
• One on one mentorship program with a CAPTRUST colleague
• Shadowing opportunities outside of your department

Departments Available for Internships:

Corporate Services: Compliance, Data Analytics and Reporting, Finance, Human Resources/Recruiting, IT Application Development, IT Infrastructure, IT Security and Network, Legal, Project Management

Institutional Group: Asset/Liability, Defined Contribution, Executive Benefits, Institutional Client Service, Institutional Operations, Vendor Analysis

Investment Group: Investment Research, Portfolio Trading and Implementation

Marketing: Business Development, Communications, Marketing

Wealth Management Group: Participant Advisory Services, Wealth Client Service, Wealth Operations, Wealth Planning

Responsibilities:

• Assist in research of funds and investment options
• Assist with printing, binding client reviews
• Compile information/internal reports for wealth and institutional clients
• Assist on various CAPTRUST projects
• May work in the following departments based on need: Client Services, Finance, Human Resource, Information Technology, Investment
• Research, Marketing, Participant Advice

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing four-year college degree - rising junior or senior - (preferred) Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology

Highly Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Prior experience preferred; previous experience in the investment industry is a plus
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills
• A high standard of professionalism (dress, manners, conduct)
• Proactive and meets deadlines
