We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Assistant in the manufacturing industry, located in Georgetown, Kentucky. This hybrid role will involve three days on-site each week. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be tasked with managing multiple accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, as well as utilizing Microsoft Excel for various tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer credit applications as part of your daily duties.
• Maintain precise records of customer credit information.
• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status.
• Assist in the closure of a business location and transition of roles accordingly.
• Contribute to the growth of the team in Georgetown through proactive participation and open-mindedness.
• Adapt to changes in the business and proactively contribute to decision-making processes.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable duties as part of your role.
• Participate in the training process and adapt to new software as necessary.• Proficient in accounting functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
• Degree in Accounting or related field
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of manufacturing industry is a plus
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
