Overview

A down-to-earth East Hampton based family is seeking a live-in or live-out career nanny for their two children, aged 3 and 5. The general schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am-7pm- both children attend school during the day, so the family is seeking someone who is able to handle some family assistant tasks during those hours. The family is providing a separate apartment in the same neighborhood and are open to live-out, or a 5 or 7-day live-in depending on the needs of the nanny.

Responsibilities

• Everything related to the care of the children, including supervising meal, bedtime, and hygiene routines
• Children's laundry and organization
• Some basic child-related cooking
• Managing housekeepers, family errands, researching and scheduling children's activities
• Transporting the children to and from school
• Planning play-dates and activities
• Travel with the family approximately 1-2 times per year
• Creating an engaging and enriching environment at home, keeping the children outdoors and active

• The family is laid back and want the kids to be kids and have fun, and they are seeking someone with a similar philosophy

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Able to work long hours, with flexibility for a late evening once every week or two
• Bilingual would be ideal but is not required
• Strong swimmer (the family lives near the beach)
• Confident driver (a car is provided for work use)
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Salary and Benefits

• $30-40/hr.
