Overview

A lovely family of five is seeking a five-day live-in nanny to join them at their home in Greenwich, CT and assist with their three children, ages 8, 6, and 3. The nanny will generally arrive in Greenwich around 10am on Monday. The rest of the week the nanny will start around 7am and work until 7 or 7:30 each day except Friday, when the nanny will finish up around 3 or 4pm. All of the children are in some type of school, and during school hours the nanny should be comfortable assisting with children's laundry and organization, meal preparation, and some family assistant tasks, though there will be down-time as well. The accommodation will be a private bedroom and bathroom, and a car will be provided for work use. This position will start on August 18, and the family will be conducting trials in the Hamptons.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the morning routine and getting children off to school, including breakfast and lunch prep, and packing bags for the day
• Tidy up from breakfast and prepare for the afternoon
• Children's laundry and ironing
• Keeping children's spaces tidy and organized (no deep cleaning is required)
• Basic children's meal prep
• Transporting children from school and to various extracurriculars and playdates
• Assisting with homework as needed
• Supervising dinner, hygiene, and bedtime routines
• Travel with the family, including 2-6 weeks in the Hamptons each summer

Qualifications

• Long-term experience with families, and looking for another long-term role
• Comfort assisting with elementary school homework
• Proactive self-starter (the parents are very busy and do not want to micromanage)
• Warm and engaging with children
• Organized and tidy
• Comfortable making basic healthy children's meals

Requirements

• US work authorization
• Willing and able to travel with the family several times per year
• Driver's license and comfort driving children (a car will be provided)
• The ability to swim would be ideal, but is not required
• No phone use when with the children, with the exception of emergencies
• Annual flu shot
• Comfortable working around a 12-year old toy poodle (no pet care is required)

Salary and Benefits

• $1650-1800 per week DOE
