About the Role:

The Housekeeping Attendant position is crucial in providing high-quality support and care to residents in our assisted living facility. This role focuses on enhancing the home environments and daily lives of residents by assisting them with apartment cleaning, community area cleaning and personal cares when necessary. The ability to work well with others is crucial. The attendant will work closely with healthcare professionals to contributing to a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, the role involves fostering a sense of community among residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement. Ultimately, the goal is to promote independence while ensuring that residents receive the necessary support to thrive in their living environment.

Full and/or Part time positions with potential for additional hours (if desired) days and evenings every other weekend. Flexible scheduling and team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 17 years old.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is nice, but not required.
• Previous experience in a caregiving role or similar environment but willing to train.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Shift availability - 9am - 5pm,
• Skills:

The required skills for this role include strong interpersonal communication, which is essential for building relationships with residents and understanding their needs. Attention to detail is crucial for delivering upon customer service excellence. Empathy and compassion are vital in providing emotional support and fostering a caring environment. Overall, a combination of these skills will enable the attendant to create a positive and supportive atmosphere that promotes the well-being of all residents.
