Key Responsibilities

Payroll

• Collect weekly/biweekly payroll data and resolve employee or employer questions
• Maintain accurate employee information including rates, hire dates, raises, W-4 details, and benefits
• Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes; process payroll through QuickBooks Desktop
• Submit payroll for direct deposit or prepare paystubs for distribution
• Process payroll tax and benefit payments according to required deadlines
• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns

Bookkeeping

• Access client portals to obtain required financial information
• Enter monthly bookkeeping activity and perform account reconciliations
• Communicate questions or discrepancies to clients and follow up before finalizing work

Other

• Support general office administrative duties (phones, greeting clients, scanning, filing)
• Opportunity to train in tax preparation; additional hours available if desired

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands?on payroll preparation, payment, and reporting experience
• Minimum 3 years of full?charge bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Knowledge of payroll regulations, compliance, and best practices
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time?management skills

Salary Range: $24-427/hourly depending on Experience
