Business Data Analyst – Manufacturing Operations

Location: Layton, Utah ( On-site )

Responsibilities:

• Extract and analyze data from QuickBooks and Fishbowl to support finance and operations teams.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that track KPIs across production, inventory, and sales.
• Build and update PowerPoint presentations for leadership based on real-time data insights.
• Analyze margins by SKU, customer, and product category to identify profit opportunities and cost inefficiencies.
• Track inventory performance , providing visual breakdowns, trends, and forecasts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, production, and supply chain to align data with decision-making.
• Create custom reports and data visualizations for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement through data-driven storytelling and actionable insights.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a data analysis, operations analyst, or similar role (preferably in manufacturing or supply chain).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks , Fishbowl , and Power BI is required.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint .
• Experience analyzing SKU-level data and creating margin or cost reports.
• Comfortable building dashboards and visual reports that simplify complex datasets.
• Strong attention to detail and a natural curiosity for problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills — ability to turn raw data into clear business insights.
