Job Description

We are a small, family-owned construction company serving the metro Detroit area, specializing in high-quality commercial projects and some multifamily residential. 

We’re looking for a versatile individual with general construction knowledge OR the willingness to learn to perform diverse tasks on small to midsized projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently or in a team, and has reliable transportation and personal basic tools.

Typical Construction Duties

  • Perform rough carpentry, including framing walls, minor roof repairs, and structural components.
  • Some finish carpentry tasks, such as installing trim and molding.
  • Install, repair, and finish drywall (taping, mudding, sanding).
  • Conduct safe and efficient demolition, including debris removal.
  • Perform minor painting tasks, including surface prep and application.
  • Handle minor flooring repairs, such as patching or replacing sections.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Some experience in rough and finish carpentry, drywall, demolition, framing, minor painting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation to job sites across metro Detroit.
  • Ownership of basic tools (e.g., hammer, tape measure, utility knife, screwdrivers, level) specialized equipment and materials provided as needed.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and perform labor-intensive tasks.

Work Environment

  • Work at various job sites, indoors and outdoors or in partially constructed buildings.
  • Must be prepared for various weather conditions.
  • Typical hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with the option of overtime.
