Job Description
Job Purpose: Carwash General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of GEI’s Tunnel carwash facility, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, and maintaining high standards of carwash operations, cleanliness and customer satisfaction. Carwash General Manger will be responsible to drive Carwash sales and profitability. Hiring, leading, training and developing the carwash staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service., promote and abide by the high standards of GEI, and maintain regulatory and company compliances while upholding the highest standards of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Hire, train, manage performance and motivate staff to provide exceptional customer service and meet performance targets.
Manage and supervise all carwash operations, including driving sales & profitability of the carwash, overseeing staff, scheduling, and training.
Responsible to ensure that Carwash is staffed and consistently operational during defined business hours.
Responsible for ensuring the facility is clean, well-maintained, and fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
Ensure that all preventive maintenance and standard operating procedures are consistently followed.
Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all equipment to ensure it is kept in proper working order.
Responsible to work with the Carwash team to keep vacuums unclogged, hoses hung properly, and trash cans emptied.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner and partner with the supervisors to resolve all issues in a timely manner.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of carwash transactions, including sales, expenses, and customer data.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing training programs as necessary.
Sustain good positive communication with customers, managers, fellow employees and vendors to enhance the performance and profitability of your sites team and to continue to grow our customer base.
Lead by example and ensure that carwash attendants are responsible and proactive in the shift duties and responsibilities.
Perform any other duties that are assigned by management.
Skills/Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in business management or a related field is a plus.
1-5 years of managing a tunnel carwash strongly preferred.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of carwash equipment, maintenance, and repair procedures.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required. Required to work at least 50 hours per week.
Have a passion for customer service with exceptional people skills and have a desire to excel.
Maintain a disciplined approach to your daily work duties and maintain company standards in personal appearance, work ethic, carwash and facility cleanliness and customer service.
Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. Ability to lift items, bend and work on your feet for an 8 hour work shift.
Have a can-do and team building attitude in everything you do while working at a Graham Enterprise site.
