What you’ll do here:

• Manage the claims process from receiving the claim through approval and payment. 

• Handle all customers with the highest level of professionalism providing world-class customer service 

• Provide guidance to customers to facilitate understanding of recommended treatments and associated coverages 

• Monitor, track, and report on claims submitted 

• Interact with veterinary clinics and customers to ensure timely responses to questions and claim resolution 

• Meet or exceed all partner and Companion Protect, LLC standards for timeliness, accuracy, and claims volume 

• Create and document processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improved system processes 

• Evaluate issues outside the scope of claims responsibility but necessary to the process of payment, directing the issues to the appropriate department with follow-up to ensure resolution of the issue resulting in claim payment 

• All other duties as assigned including processing of insurance applications, managing customer failed payments and light technical support to clients 

What you’ll bring to the team:

• 3+ years’ experience as an Insurance Claims Representative or experience in the Veterinary Clinics or related field 

• State issued Claims Adjuster License 

• Experienced in communication with customers via phone, email, chat, or similar. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience learning and using new technology 

• High school diploma required

• Resourcefulness: Creative, innovative, and effective problem-solver 

• Bonus points if you have… 

• A current property and casualty license 

• A current certification as a Veterinary Technician 

Where you’ll work: This is a fully remote or hybrid opportunity, Tuesday through Thursday in the office.
