Job Description

Local route Truck Drivers (CDL A or B) are responsible for loading galley equipment onto a truck, driving the truck to various types of aircrafts, and unloading the equipment. Local CDL Truck Drivers usually drive on local public roads, outside of the airport and terminal. Main Duties and Responsibilities include loading equipment onto the truck, driving the truck to the aircraft at local airports, loading galleys according to customer guidelines, unloading dirty equipment and placing it in designated areas, interacting with airline representatives, following directions, working as a member of the Transportation team, and additional duties as assigned by management. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED preferred, up to one-year experience preferred, current U.S. driver's license, CDL Class A or B required, and possibly a Customs Seal from local airport authority. Drivers must be able to read and write to complete forms and communicate effectively. Job requirements include working varied schedules including weekends and holidays, working overtime when required, punctuality, compliance with company policies, and completing paperwork. Work environment involves exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise, outdoor work in all weather conditions, lifting and moving up to 50 pounds frequently, standing and moving intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours, and working at heights up to 25 feet depending on aircraft.
