Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Reno, NV for a Construction Health and Safety Officer. The Construction Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance on construction sites, conducting safety audits, and implementing health and safety policies. The role involves monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations, developing measures to assure personnel safety, and providing safety training for employees and subcontractors. The officer will also be responsible for overseeing the health and safety program, conducting risk assessments, and recommending solutions to improve safety standards. Officer will also be charged with organizing and facilitating Safety Meetings and management of the Safety Committee.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and expertise in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment Health and Safety (EHS)
• Experience in Workplace Safety and holding an OSHA 30 Certificate and First Aid/CPR/AED Card
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• Previous Construction Experience
• Highrise Construction Project Experience
• Large scale Cast in Place concrete experience including Post-Tension Reinforcement
• Detailed Knowledge of current Federal and State of Nevada OSHA regulations and standards, and enforcement thereof
