We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Tax Consultant to join our client on a contract basis. This individual will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating tax compliance and advisory work for clients. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned tax professional to demonstrate their expertise in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax, compliance, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.
2. Identify and mitigate tax risks.
3. Coordinate accounting staff and manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
4. Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
5. Manage and coordinate tax audits.
6. Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.
7. Advise clients on tax-related issues, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
8. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to stay updated on tax-related matters.
9. Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax reports.
10. Assist in financial planning and analysis.
11. Develop strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and managing the client’s expectations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or Law, or a CPA certification would be a plus.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate tax and compliance.
3. Proven work experience as a tax manager or tax consultant.
4. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
5. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
6. Analytical skills with detail orientation.
7. Deep knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
8. Knowledge of tax software and MS Office.
9. Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems.
10. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
11. Ability to work independently and in team settings.
12. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
13. High level of integrity, professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
14. Proactive in keeping abreast of industry developments and the regulatory landscape.
