Position Overview:

Responsible for the appearance, cleanliness, maintenance, and security of the building and grounds on the WABC campus. Additionally, responsible for the setup of rooms as requested for ministry meetings and events.

Qualifications for the Position :

Background, training, and or experience in facilities cleaning. Familiar with general custodial maintenance operations. Ability to plan, conduct, and supervise a program of facility cleaning and maintenance.

Requirements and Responsibilities of the Position:

• Plans initiate a process of systematic housekeeping; ensures that assigned areas for cleaning and maintenance are cleaned with excellent attention to detail.
• Ensures that the church buildings are opened and secured when scheduled. Secures buildings at the end of special meetings or church events. Ensures alarms are set and all doors are locked per the security schedule.
• Moves furniture, sets up tables and chairs for special church activities and programs. Sets up assembly areas and classrooms for ministry meetings.
• Follows assigned cleaning schedule for custodial staff to ensure the timely cleaning of all church buildings and grounds. Ensures the replenishment of all restroom supplies and general cleaning supplies. Maintains adequate inventory levels of commonly used cleaning supplies.
• When assigned, prepare the baptistery for use and clean it for subsequent use.
• Follows custodial maintenance/setup/housekeeping requirements in response to general and special church calendar events.
• Sets up and cleans up after weddings, funerals, and other social, community, and church events as scheduled by the manager.
• Assists with other tasks and projects when requested by the manager.
• Maintains a positive working relationship with subordinates, peers, other staff, and the WABC congregation.

• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.

• Weekdays, Weeknight, and Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Houston, TX 77004: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Experience:

• 2 years (Preferred)
