Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist with extensive experience in big data analysis, modeling, and optimization to identify business trends and solve complex problems. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and the ability to develop and implement valuable business solutions. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work across a variety of industries, with a specific focus on supporting USPS.

Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Visualization Development:
• Develop rapid analysis scripts and visualization prototypes.
• Create interactive dashboards and visioning session materials.
• Prepare analysis reports, presentations, and project documentation.
• Ensure that analysis techniques are appropriate and products meet business needs with minimal training.
• Maintain accurate project documentation that reflects analysis findings and is free of errors.
• Modeling and Optimization:
• Develop mathematical optimization models and write source code or scripts.
• Provide translational documentation for analytical and visualization product development.
• Deliver proposal presentations and document project results.
• Ensure model parameters and functions are appropriate and align with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and deliver products that meet business needs with minimal training.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• A minimum of 13 to 20 years of relevant experience in data science, statistical analysis, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R (preferably both).
• A degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field is preferred. If the degree is not in a related field, an additional four years of relevant experience is required.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly to new industries and environments, with a specific focus on USPS operations.

Preferred:

• Experience in developing and implementing big data models and business solutions across multiple industries.
• Strong ability to work independently and meet project deadlines within acceptable variances.
• Demonstrated success in developing project documentation that is both accurate and easy to understand.
