About the Role

Our client is seeking an Advanced Decision Support Specialist (DSS) to provide GIS, geospatial analysis, and decision support solutions . The consultant will design workflows, create spatial data products, and build decision-making tools using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online .

This role requires strong technical expertise in GIS combined with the ability to translate technical outputs into plain business language for non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, document, and maintain geospatial workflows for analysis.
• Perform spatial analysis and create maps, dashboards, and story maps .
• Develop web content in ArcGIS Online (Story Maps, Web Maps, Survey123 apps).
• Translate requirements into decision support tools and reporting applications .
• Provide technical support and training to business users.
• Integrate GPS and tabular data into ArcGIS Online feature services.
• Communicate geospatial concepts clearly to business stakeholders and leadership .
• Support GEO AI and ESRI AI tool adoption under DEP standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or IT (or equivalent work experience).
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ESRI enterprise tools .
• Experience creating story maps, dashboards, and web apps .
• Knowledge of geospatial formats, metadata, and spatial analysis techniques .
• Hands-on experience with GPS/tabular data integration .
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Skills

• GISP certification (Geographic Information Systems Professional).
• Knowledge of environmental science or regulatory processes .
• Familiarity with GEO AI or ESRI AI tools .
