Job Description

Director of Rehab (Healthcare) Wage ranges from $40.00 to $50.00 per hour. The Director of Rehab supervises and guides all therapy personnel within an assigned facility, including licensed, registered, and certified therapists, assistants, aides, and students. Responsibilities include daily scheduling to meet facility needs, providing direct care, and collaborating with management to determine appropriate caseloads. The role ensures that residents' rehabilitation needs are met, periodically reviews therapy services, and updates programs to adapt to changing environments. The Director ensures compliance with all regulatory standards related to rehabilitation services, maintains complete and accurate clinical documentation, and conducts periodic reviews of departmental documentation. They coordinate denials management activities to ensure timely claims and appeals, and meet or exceed productivity standards. The position involves ensuring high-quality service delivery, implementing new treatment programs, monitoring outcomes, and adjusting plans of care accordingly. The Director follows established policies and procedures, approves timecards, evaluates department staff, and builds relationships with local hospitals and referral sites. Participation in facility and company meetings is expected, along with ongoing staff training on safe work practices. The Director organizes orientation for new personnel, ensures timely billing documentation, and provides suggestions for service improvements. Travel may be required for the role. Confidentiality of patient and company information must be maintained. The Director identifies personal development needs, potential leaders, and new business opportunities, and promotes a positive attitude within staff and the community. Supervisory Requirements Supervises PT/OT/SP therapists, assistants, aides, and students. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology; Master's or Doctorate preferred. Proficiency in computer skills (e.g., Casamba, Point Click Care). Licensed in the relevant therapy in the state; ongoing education and good standing required. CPR certification. Physical Demands Position requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, talking, and sensory activities. Ability to exert significant force occasionally.
