DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION
\nThe Burgettstown Area School District seeks a qualified candidate to serve as its next Director of Special Education. Located in close proximity to Pittsburgh, the BASD has a special education population of 22.4% of its total enrollment. Available in December, 2024, this 12 month Act 93 position is responsible for promoting best practices in Special Education within a K-12 setting. The ideal candidate will have an extensive knowledge base and experience with writing, reviewing, and implementing all facets of Individual Education Plans across K-12. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. A valid PDE Certificate endorsed for Supervisor of Special Education or Principal K-12 is required.
\nATHLETIC DIRECTOR
\nThe Burgettstown Area School District, a member of the WPIAL with 12 different sports across grades 7-12 seeks a qualified individual to serve as its next Athletic Director. Characteristics of the ideal candidate include: prior high school and/or college coaching experience, commitment to developing the student athlete, excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills, knowledge of PIAA rules and regulations, and experience with the college recruiting process.
