Description:
RETTEW, an engineering consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our Municipal Team in our State College, PA office. As a dynamic and client-focused Water/Wastewater Engineer you will be responsible for providing environmental design support for multi-disciplined drinking water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Municipal Team to design and develop public and private sector environmental engineering designs for drinking water and wastewater infrastructure and treatment projects.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and information for project design
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications for projects
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards
- Participation in design teams to provide treatment solutions for biosolids in conjunction with renewable energy development
- Work includes planning, design, and permitting for municipal clients
- Ability to effectively present projects to clients and regulatory authorities
- Client Interaction and Meeting Participation
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design
- EIT required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and standards
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
