Job Overview

The Electrical Project Manager (Data Center) will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of data center projects. This role demands a versatile leader who excels in managing large-scale electrical projects while ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations. You will serve as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, working closely with field personnel and subcontractors to ensure the timely and efficient progress of projects. Your exceptional organizational skills and technical knowledge will be critical to navigate the unique challenges presented by data center environments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication for data center electrical projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, procurement, and contractors to establish and maintain project timelines.
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules and budgets, implementing solutions to any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to relay updates and address any concerns from clients and stakeholders.
  • Review and approve project designs and plans before execution.
  • Assess project performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Mentor and guide junior project team members, fostering professional development.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports for management and clients, including cost analysis, scheduling, and performance metrics.
  • Manage contract negotiations and relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing electrical projects, with a focus on data centers preferred.
  • Proven experience leading project teams and managing cross-functional relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, data center infrastructure, and relevant codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and basic MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
  • CMP or PMP certification is a plus.
Benefits

The annual base compensation range for this role is between $150,000 and $175,000. The successful candidate's actual base compensation will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications.
