About the Role
The Employee Benefits Advisor (Benefits Producer) is responsible for developing and managing a book of small-to-mid market employee benefits clients. This is a consultative sales role focused on helping business owners and executives design strategic benefits programs that attract, motivate, and retain their workforce.

Advisors are supported by an experienced leadership team, structured sales process, and active mentorship from senior producers. This position offers the opportunity to build a personal client portfolio within a company that values professional development and team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

· Generate new business through B2B sales, networking, referrals, and lead generation.

· Develop relationships with business owners, HR leaders, and executives.

· Conduct needs assessments and present tailored employee benefits solutions.

· Leverage a proven consultative sales model to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close.

· Maintain and grow a personal book of business with ongoing client support.

· Collaborate with internal teams to provide clients with access to additional risk management and insurance services.

Qualifications

· Proven B2B “hunter” sales background with a consultative approach.

· Experience selling to HR leaders or business executives preferred.

· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

· Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to grow a personal client base.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Active Virginia Life & Health insurance license.

· Ability to work from or commute to the Virginia Beach area, especially during initial ramp-up.

Compensation & Benefits

· Base salary: $65,000–$75,000 , plus commission and performance incentives.
