Job Summary

If you're interested in a career as a Molecular Biologist, this role is perfect for you! Molecular biology is the foundation of our plant pipeline, while we simultaneously explore and implement new research technologies and techniques to drive scientific discoveries. As such, we are hiring a consultant with experience in developing and producing products to support our processes. Experience in DNA cloning would be beneficial.

Job Description

• Provide laboratory support and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and safety standard requirements, including training, documentation, lab and automation operations, and the delivery of products to downstream partners.
• Study and apply basic principles of plant biology, with a focus on molecular biology concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Use limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
• Work under general supervision and typically report to a supervisor or manager.
• Deliver molecular processes within an ISO 9001 environment to drive the crop science pipeline.
• Provide on-the-floor support as a scientist specializing in plant biology.
• Deliver products at a production scale to downstream partners, ensuring proper batching, documentation of deliverables in data systems, and provide support for deviation resolution.

Skills Required

• 1-3 years of experience.
• Ability to work methodically and with attention to detail.
• Specific experience with molecular biology techniques.
• Willingness to learn new data systems and follow best practice documentation procedures.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Shift: 08:30 AM

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary: $27.50 to $35.50 per hour based on qualifications.
