Fire Protection System Designer

We are partnered with an area recognized and established fire protection and life safety system company who is actively looking to add a proven Fire Protection System Designer to their growing team! They have a great reputation and believe strongly in supporting the growth of their employees and are dedicated to maintaining an outstanding work culture.

* High School diploma or GED, and a technical school degree with emphasis on drafting and math
* Minimum of 5 years alarm drafting experience
* Preferred 10 years fire alarm and fire suppression design
* AutoCAD training with solid understanding of drafting techniques engineering terminology
* 3+ years related design drafting experience.
* Understanding and knowledge of NFPA codes & standards
* Understanding and knowledge of Fire Alarm or fire suppression systems

Responsibilities:

* Independently reviews and validates information required to create drawings according to specifications and standard procedures
* Independently prepares application drawings for Fike's systems
* Reviews and checks drawings prepared by others
* Maintains drawing database, service request report, and drawing files
* Provides document support for Test Procedure Information (TPI)
