Job Description

Salary: $72,000 - 93,000 per year Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be willing to travel frequently on short notice.
  • Must possess a valid passport or the capability to obtain one within six months.
  • A clean driving record (MVR) and the ability to drive motor vehicles.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience with hand tools, light power tools, various types and applications of hardware, measuring tools and techniques, basic automotive repair, and understanding of wiring diagrams, along with electronics repairs. Intermediate knowledge of Linux is required.
  • Proficiency with ticketing systems, Gmail, Google Calendar, and basic spreadsheet tasks (preferably Google Sheets). Moderate to advanced automotive repair knowledge is also preferred.
  • Familiarity with various testing techniques and strong hardware troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting, installation, and warehouse management.
  • Understanding of vehicle parts, computer components, camera parts, PCB, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with individuals at all levels of our organization.
  • Comfort in a fast-paced environment, along with robust problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously, showing motivation and a proactive attitude, with a desire for continuous learning and creative problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist engineering teams in testing advanced client-designed equipment, such as high-resolution cameras, mechanical frames, cables, and geolocation devices when required and approved by the team lead.
  • Manage technical projects related to field support.
  • Analyze common hardware failures through testing and debugging client-specific electronic devices.
  • Oversee the development of documentation for test procedures and reports related to both new and existing hardware/components.
  • Audit and maintain knowledge resources to ensure they contain accurate and useful information.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in the review processes of global hardware troubleshooting and repair procedures, which includes:
  • - Monitoring the technical standards of the global field support team.
  • - Identifying gaps in technical knowledge and collaborating with leads to address these needs.
  • - Recognizing patterns of service-related failures to foster technical or process improvements.
  • - Staying aligned with Global and Regional Leads on current field support workflows and project requirements to actively contribute to process improvements.
  • Identify common intermittent faults, analyze their causes, and develop repair strategies.

Additionally, this role is eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, determined by performance and in accordance with our applicable plans.
