Overview

Head of School role at Fusion Academy. The Head of School is an innovative, inspiring leader who demonstrates a growth mindset and upholds the companys core values. The position is responsible for the campus operational, academic, enrollment growth, and fiscal health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide culture, vision and leadership to build a cohesive team that lives Fusion Academy values
  • Paint a compelling vision for the team and foster a unified direction
  • Create a joyful, mission-driven environment and apply creative problem-solving
  • Maintain high campus team retention through a dynamic, healthy culture
  • Talent development: recognize strengths, model behavior, set high standards, address performance issues promptly
  • Drive enrollment and fiscal growth: exceed top-line and bottom-line targets; manage labor costs; oversee campus accounts
  • Build enrollment through community outreach and local marketing; manage lead-to-enrollment conversion
  • Execute community outreach and local marketing plans; conduct effective enrollment closing and follow-up
  • Develop relationships with local educational institutions, businesses, influencers, educators, and specialists
  • Seek partnership opportunities with companies and educational institutions
  • Maintain a healthy campus culture for students, staff, and families; ensure appropriate student programs and services
  • Uphold solid administrative practices and policies; provide world-class customer service
  • Communicate with parents, students, and staff to gather feedback and address concerns
  • Develop campus teams that provide excellent service and address academic, social, or behavioral issues per school policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in education, business, or relevant field; Masters or higher preferred
  • 35 years of demonstrated school leadership experience (preferably middle & high school) with respect for teaching and learning
  • Interest in alternative or non-traditional education systems
  • Experience interacting with diverse stakeholders
  • Business growth experience through enrollment or business development
  • Culture-building, team creation, and inspirational leadership experience
  • Passion for delivering mastery-based education to students with learning differences (including social and emotional differences)
  • Experience managing a budget, financial reporting, and tracking metrics
  • Proven career progression and increased responsibilities
  • Belief in effective school processes and procedures to support student achievement

Management & Leadership

  • Experience in managerial roles, program development, and educational leadership
  • People management including recruiting, professional development, and mentoring
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive workplace culture
  • Ability to drive Fusions core values and represent the organization
  • Visionary leadership with collaborative decision-making and accountability for metrics

Compensation

  • Base salary competitive; performance bonuses based on KPI achievement
  • Five weeks paid time off (PTO): three prescribed weeks plus 10 days
