Job Description
I. Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries to and from trailers, and move them to and from storage areas, the freezer, production areas and the loading docks.
Schedule7:00am until Finish
II. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
A. Load and unload trucks
B. Put away product
C. Build pallets up to 6’ high
D. High picking accuracy
E. Familiar with production of food and the picking of raw materials and the put away of finished goods.
F. Support the production room
G. Pick all Single Source orders for 2nd shift loadout with % accuracy and a 120cs / hr picking quota
H. High degree of accuracy
I. Performs other duties as assigned
J. Ability to move and lift wooden skids or pallets
K. Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.
III. Education / Experience / Working Relationships
A. High school diploma or equivalent
B. Minimum 1 yr. of forklift & (high)reach-truck (stand up) experience
C. Minimum 1 yr. warehouse, dock & picking experience
D. Reports to Dock Supervisor
E. FSQA training
F. Problems are solved using basic knowledge, skills and general practices
G. Basic Math skills
IV. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
A. Occasional (up to 3hrs) sitting, walking, and kneeling
B. Frequently (3-6 hrs.) bending at neck
C. Constantly (6+ hrs.) bending at waist, squatting, twisting at neck & waist, grasping and pushing
D. Lifting constantly (6+ hrs.) up to 75lbs
E. Carrying constantly (6+ hrs.) up to 75lbs
F. Driving forklifts and other equipment
G. Working in cold and damp and freezer conditions. Temperature typically ranges 32 degrees. Freezer temps between 0 - -10 degrees.
H. Operation of foot controls or repetitive foot movement
I. Working around heavy equipment and machinery
J. Problems are routine and solved using clear directions and procedures.
K. Progress and direction are monitored by supervisor.
L. Works with minimal supervision
M. Use of Personal Protective Equipment.
