JOBSUMMARY:

The Hospital Chaplain serves the spiritual needs of the hospital's patients and their families, regardless of their faith orientation, providing spiritual care and pastoral support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Acts as the hospital's liaison to the religious community and to departments of religious ministries in other health care facilities.
• Participates in patient care as a member of the clinical team.
• Provides pastoral support to and acts as a religious resource for hospital staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate will need a Masters in Divinity or equivalent, from an accredited divinity school, or seminary.Ordained within own religious affiliation, completed at least two to three units of clinical pastoral education with previous experience in a hospital chaplaincy program of at least three years, preferred.The qualified individual should maintain a good affiliation with his/her denomination or faith group.
• The candidate will be ordained within his/her own religious affiliation.
• Three or more years of experience beyond divinity school.Must have completed a program in hospital chaplain program.Experience as a hospital chaplain is desirable.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Part time - 8 hours per week
