Gansevoort is looking for a TEMP full scope HR Generalist to cover existing team member maternity leave. The assignment is expected to last from April to end October.
Ideal candidate will have have prior experience with all HR aspects.
Desired qualification:
Must have Payroll experience.
Job will include the following daily assignments:
Payroll processing for 200 employees on a weekly basis.
Recruitment: Posting jobs via all available channels, pre-screen all candidates, setting up interviews, regret letters
Interviewing: Conducting all interviews for all open positions.
Job Offers: Prepare and negotiate offer letters. Review job descriptions when necessary.
Onboarding: Background checks, onboarding paperwork, IT set up, announcements.
New Hire Compliance: I-9 verification and management, E-verify compliance.
Orientation: New Hire Orientation within 30-days of hire, anti-harassment training, human trafficking and ASAP training completion by all new hires within 30-days.
Performance reviews: 90-days and annual performance review facilitation and review.
Termination: C ompliance, review termination reasons, conduct termination, complete all necessary termination paperwork, severance letters, IT communication for access removal, team announcements. COBRA facilitation process and compliance.
ESR/ACA Compliance: Monitor employee PT/FT status. Make sure all PT converted into FT timely for ESR compliance purposes.
Benefits: Administer all company benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Life insurance, STD/LTD insurance, Commuter Check). Process all enrollment, terminations, changes. Assisting employees with all benefits questions, requesting replacement cards, explaining policies etc.
Invoices/ACCT: Review accuracy of all monthly invoices, send to ACCOUNT for processing.
Unemployment: Process all forms/benefits letters from DOL, verify all claims, dispute claims as necessary, communicate with DOL on call unemployment questions.
Investigations: conduct all harassment, discrimination allegations and other employee complaints. Complete post-investigation review.
Leave of Absence: M anaging various types of LOA (FMLA, PFL, Disability, Personal, Sick leave)
Workers compensation: Review all WC claims, setting up all claims with carriers, working with employees on timely return to work.
Employee Counseling: Manage all investigations, disciplinary action, write ups. Partner with all Department Heads on all employee relations issue, advise on best practices, assist with making appropriate compliant employment decisions, uphold high standards with operations needs in mind. Serve as a consultant to advise all managers on HR issues and compliance.
Employee Relations: Addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering positive relationships between employees and management.
Uniforms: Maintain all uniform sizes information, timely request uniforms for new hires and replacement uniforms when needed. Ensure all employees comply with uniform, appearance, and grooming standards.
Policy compliance: Reinforce all company policies, issue memos, assist employees with explaining Handbook standards when needed, hold team accountable to established standards, interpret company Handbook when needed.
Ad-Hoc HR tasks: Employment verification letters, EOQ celebrations, Monthly birthday celebrations, Monthly Bulletin board and Phone directory updates, Pay increases & Wage forms updates, Employee break room maintenance, Employee locker room maintenance.
Compliance: Ensuring company complies with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
