Vaco has partnered with a well-established hospital that is seeking an Interim Hospital Controller to provide financial leadership and oversight during a transitional period. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency within a healthcare setting.

 
Job Title: Interim Hospital Controller 
Location: New Mexico (remote after the first 2 weeks) 
Pay Rate: $65 per hour 
Project Duration: 3+ months

• Oversee all hospital accounting and financial operations, including month-end close and reporting 

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements 

• Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance and cost controls 

• Prepare and present financial statements to leadership and other stakeholders 

 
Qualifications: 

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus) 

• 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience 

• Proven experience in a hospital or similar setting

• Ability to commit to duration and needs of the project

• the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
• licensure and certification requirements;
• office location and other geographic considerations;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
