Position Summary: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring clean linens are supplied to the entire hotel.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Processing soiled linens and producing clean, folded, organized linens to the housekeeping and f&b teams. 
  • Follow machine instructions "to the letter" ensuring proper use of all equipment, thus one must be able to read and understand labels and checklists.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, healthy, and safe environment in the laundry area.
  • Deliver clean linens to the linen closets on the guest room floors and deliver to the restaurant and bar areas.
  • Remove soiled linens when support of the housekeeping team is needed.
  • Assisting room attendants as needed, stripping rooms, bringing supplies, taking out garbage.
  • Immediately report any technical issues and maintenance needs to the Hotel Shift Leader.
  • Request chemicals and/or supplies from the Director of Rooms or Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Follow all health and safety rules.
  • This position requires standing most of the shift and carrying linens up to 20 lbs at a time. Use of carts, trays, and tables are part of the job.

Experience and Education:  

Having some experience in a laundry or working in a housekeeping department is great but not necessary.

Having worked in an environment where you followed a set routine is a plus.

Minimum High school diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion or equivalent is required.
