Mail and Scanning Processor Location Irving, TX (Freeport/Hackberry area) : Job Summary This position is responsible for working in a fast-paced environment, handling all inbound and outbound mail and deliveries, sorting and scanning of medical forms, shredding, and other mailroom activities. Location: Onsite at 8500 Freeport Pkwy Irving, Texas 75063 Essential Functions

• The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
• Open mail and print reports and faxes. (20%)
• Perform comprehensive detailed sorting of mail, reports and faxes. (40%)
• Scan all mail, reports and faxes according to specific types and instructions. (20%)
• Receive and log all special deliveries including FedEx, UPS, and certified mail. (5%)
• Distribute, deliver and assist with mail, packages and boxes internally. (5%)
• Support other departments in folding, stuffing and posting of special mailings. (5%)
• Provide additional scanning support to other departments. (5%)
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all mailroom equipment.
• Participate in a shredding maintenance program.
• Return x-rays received with dental claims

Required Work Experience 0-1 years related work experience. Experience Details: General office skills requiring basic use of office equipment and a computer Required Management Experience No supervisory/management experience required Required Education High school diploma or GED Additional Required Qualifications Good verbal and written communication skills are needed. Basic computer skills required. Additional Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of medical and dental claims preferred. Knowledge of mailroom equipment and shipping procedures preferred. Prior scanning experience preferred. General Physical Demands Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
