\n - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)rates range from $19.71/hr to $30.28/hr .
\n - Sr. Medical Laboratory Technician rates range from $20.94/hr to 32.13/hr .
\n - Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) rates range from $24.74/hr to $34.48/hr .
\n - Sr. Medical Laboratory Scientist rates range from $26.48/hr to $39.25/hr .

Testing
\n
\n - Process specimens for analysis.\n \n
\n - Meet established testing protocols for precision, accuracy, and timeliness
\n - Recognize critical, abnormal and unacceptable test results and follows-up according to established protocols and factors that affect measurements and results to initiate the necessary solution.
\n - Identify problems with instrumentation, methodology, specimens, supplies, or results and act as outlined in predetermined protocols.
\n - Engage in test development and methodology/equipment evaluation, selection, and implementation.

Organization and Maintenance
\n
\n - Perform and document quality control according to established protocols.
\n - Inform supervisors or pathologists of any incidents.
\n - Operate and maintain equipment and perform minor repairs.
\n - Enter patient demographic and test information into the information system.
\n - Honor patient confidentiality.
\n - Monitor and maintain supplies.
\n
\n
Knowledge
\n
\n - Maintain knowledge of techniques, principles, instruments, their interrelationships, and physiological conditions affecting test results.
\n - Assist with training and orienting new employees, students and residents.
\n - Create a safe work environment by following all biohazard, chemical, and sharps safety guidelines.
\n - Adhere to laboratory and hospital policies, procedures, methods, quality assurance, proficiency testing, and personnel policies.

Communication
\n
\n - Engage with laboratory and hospital customers & peers professionally, courteously, and timely.
\n - Demonstrate dependability, reliability, and independent judgment.

\n - Medical Laboratory Scientist: \n
\n - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university AND successful completion of a CAHEA accredited
Medical Lab Scientist program OR \n - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory science AND ASCP or equivalent categorical or MLT certification OR
\n - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory.

\n - Medical Lab Technician: \n
\n - Associate's degree in a laboratory science with certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited institution as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) OR
\n - Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science, with 6 months of clinical laboratory experience OR
\n - Equivalent education and experience as defined by CLIA '88 for individuals performing high complexity testing\n
\n - Candidates with a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution with a major in biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science without 6 months of clinical laboratory experience can be considered for our Laboratory Support Technician position.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
\n
\n - ASCP Certifications Preferred: Medical Technologist MT(ASCP), Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS (ASCP), Medical Laboratory Technician MLT(ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA), or equivalent ASCP Certification.
