SALARY NOTE: Salary is determined based upon education level and experience. Posted range is for the MLS II position. The salary range for a Medical Lab Technician is $29.28 - $36.62 - $43.96.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Performs phlebotomy as needed. Maintains and troubleshoots laboratory equipment. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsibilities for correction of procedural / instrument issues. Responsible for teaching, training and mentoring.
EDUCATION: Depending upon position, either an associate's degree or bachelor's degree in medical lab science is required. If certificate qualified, certification to occur within 1 year of hire.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum experience - MLS or MLT internship completed.
