BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a **Mental Health Technician II** to join our outstanding and compassionate team!
**Mental Health Technician II Position Details:**
+ **Facility:** BayCare Health System, Behavioral Health Adult-SJHN
+ **Location:** St Joseph's North
+ **Status:** Full Time, Exempt: No
+ **Shift Hours:** 6:45am - 7:15pm
+ **Weekend Work:** Every Other
+ **On Call:** No
**The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities:**
+ Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.
+ Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
+ Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
+ Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.
**Required Certification/Licensures:**
+ BLS (Basic Life Support)
+ CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
+ Patient Care Technician - preferred
**Required Education:**
+ High School or Equivalent
+ Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
+ Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred
**Required Experience:**
+ 6 months - Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
