We are currently looking for a heavy equipment mechanic. We are an established company based in Spencer, Ohio that operates a fleet of CAT Challenger tractors pulling K-Tec Scrapers. We work in various states and occasional overnight travel may be required. Candidates should be familiar with Cat engines, transmissions, Cat ET, Cat SIS, air conditioning and hydraulics. Must have a clean MVR and a Class A CDL or the ability to obtain a Class A CDL. Excellent pay and benefits. Only qualified applicants should apply.

Pay: $45+ per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

Mechanical Knowledge: 3 years (Preferred)

Duties:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy equipment and machinery
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacement, and lubrication.
• Fabricate parts as needed to ensure proper equipment function.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and make necessary repairs.
• Inspect and repair hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain suspension systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety
• Service AC systems on heavy equipment for efficient operation
• Ability to lift heavy equipment parts and components as required

Experience:

• Mechanical Knowledge: 3 years (Preferred)
• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy machinery.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulic, and AC systems.
• Ability to fabricate parts using welding or soldering techniques.
• Experience in performing heavy lifting tasks safely.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Certification in heavy equipment maintenance is a plus.
