We have an exciting opportunity for Moving Staff to join our Production Department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Consolidate trays based on growing needs
• Operate overhead trolley to efficiently move plants
• Move empty and full tables throughout the greenhouse as directed by moving lead or supervisor
• With support from others- safely stack empty tables to consolidate space
• Unload seed trays on to tables
• Dump poor quality product as instructed by moving lead
• Operate hand-held scanner to scan all trays and tables
• Assist in other departments as needed

COMPETENCIES:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing, in person, and via radio with all levels of staff.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
• Ability to distinguish different plant types
• Collaboration: Work well within teams and contribute positively to group tasks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Detail and safety oriented
• Ability to work in a team environment and under deadlines
• Self-motivated
• Reliable and punctual

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work long hours as needed during busy season, including weekends.
• Continuously walk, stand, bend, as well as reaching overhead, and from side to side for long periods of time.
• Work indoors and outdoors, in seasonal temperatures and conditions.
• Lift up to 50 pounds in an environment that is often hot.

PAY RANGE: $17.50 per hour

Pay rate is determined by various components including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The pay rate is one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards vary by position and location.
