Rate: $50-55/hour W2 + benefits / $60 C2C
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support enterprise LAN operations across multiple locations in the Americas. This role involves troubleshooting, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, working closely with cross-functional IT teams. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge and a collaborative mindset to solve complex network issues and implement process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and resolve LAN issues; replace defective hardware as needed
Respond to support requests related to LAN infrastructure
Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours and weekend support
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to integrate infrastructure solutions
Design and implement network-related processes and improvements
Follow ITSM processes and maintain documentation for all changes
Coordinate with other IT groups on network changes (firewall, VPN, wireless, NAC, etc.)
Provide guidance and support to business partners regarding network solutions
Typical Day & Team Interaction:
Work onsite 5 days a week
Engage with the LAN team and other IT groups including security and firewall teams
Handle a mix of troubleshooting, project implementation, and process improvement
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
10+ years of experience in Network Engineering
Strong knowledge of LAN implementation and support, including:
TCP/IP, Ethernet, VLANs, QoS, IP subnetting, OSPF
Copper and fiber cabling
Cisco switching and network hardware
Familiarity with ITSM practices
Effective communication and strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
CCNA certification
Experience with automation and scripting
Knowledge of DNA Center (Catalyst Center)
Wireless network experience
Background working in medium to large enterprises
Interview Process:
Initial screening with technical filter questions
Hands-on virtual lab (15–20 minutes) to complete basic LAN tasks
Final interview to assess experience, technical fit, and team collaboration
