FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.

JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX 10, Arizona’s preeminent source for news, is seeking a talented, passionate, creative, and collaborative photographer to join our dynamic team! Job duties include covering general news assignments in a fast-paced environment using electronic VIDEO camera & editing equipment, applying techniques appropriate to each story.  Understanding of different camera/media formats required.  Recent on-the-street TV news photography experience required.  Must have live ENG remote experience, including streaming platforms and microwave truck operation.  Excellent storytelling techniques including composition, use of audio, lighting and effective editing required.  Along with photography, editing is a major component of this position, whether in the field or at the station.  Applicant must be able to edit ENG material both remotely and in-house for various newscasts under specific time constraints using non-linear editing equipment.  Must have a working knowledge of Adobe Premiere or comparable editing platforms. Familiarity with Bitcentral newsroom systems and iNews a plus.  Candidate is expected to be willing to cross-train into other areas of the news operation if needed.

HS diploma required, college degree pref.  Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. equipment. Must be able to drive, have proof of insurance, obtain a valid Arizona driver’s license and maintain a clean MVR.  Resume and on-line link of recent work required of applicants. This position is NOT a still photographer position.  Please do not send still portfolio examples/links.  Examples of work must include videography and editing in a news setting. Weekends, holidays, travel & varied hours required.
