We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with certified payroll experience to join our team in Fresno, CA . This position is responsible for managing the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing while maintaining compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees.
Handle certified payroll reporting as required by company or client standards.
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including wages, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Ensure payroll transactions are processed correctly and timely.
Respond to employee questions regarding pay, timecards, and deductions.
Work closely with HR and Accounting to ensure alignment between systems and accurate reporting.
Assist with payroll tax filings, W-2s, 1099s, and year-end payroll procedures.
Stay current with payroll laws and best practices to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
3+ years of payroll experience, including certified payroll .
Strong understanding of payroll processing, labor regulations, and timekeeping systems.
Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
High attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Preferred:
Experience working in construction, manufacturing, or similar industries.
Familiarity with job costing and union payroll is a plus.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
