Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing. This role requires proficiency in venipuncture techniques, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate labeling of specimens. The phlebotomist will work in the clinical lab, interacting with patients and other healthcare professionals.

Location:Apple Valley, California, United States

Responsibilities:

- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood samples.
- Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Enter patient information accurately into the system.
- Transport specimens to the laboratory for testing.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions during or after blood draws.
- Schedule for additional weekend coverage as needed.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- BLS certification
- CPT I (CA) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience preferred, but not required

- N/A

Special Considerations:

- On-call required.
- Scheduled for additional weekend coverage as needed.
- First-timers accepted.
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are welcome.
- RTO must be included at the time of submission.

Scheduling:
- 5x8 hour shifts
- Start date: ASAP
