Viridian Staffing's client is looking for an experienced Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Programmer onsite for an equipment manufacturing company based out of the Spokane, Washington, area. This position is based in Spokane, Washington, and in-office attendance is required.

You will use your critical thinking and problem solving skills to design, develop, and implement PLC programs to control industrial machinery and processes. With your love for collaborating, you will have the opportunity to work with engineers, technicians, and cross functionally with other teams to understand system requirements, specifications, so you can ensure the efficient and effective operation of manufacturing and production systems. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in PLC programming languages, you are able to troubleshoot and debug complex automation systems. Using your excellent written communication skills, you'll be creating and maintaining documentation related to PLC Programming. You will research and evaluate industry trends and advancements in PLC technology so you can recommend and implement improvements.
You bring with you a Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, automation, computer science, or a similar degree. You have proven work experience as a PLC Programmer within an industrial or manufacturing environment and have finely tuned your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities allowing you to develop creative solutions. You have experience with the following: PLC programming languages (ie ladder logic, structured text, function block diagram), PLC hardware and software platforms (ie Siemens, Mitsubishi), and HMI/SCADA systems integration. You are able to work equally well alone or in a team environment and are able to use your solid analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex automation systems.
Compensation: $28-32/hour
