Job Description

Senior Power Electronics Engineer

We’re seeking a seasoned engineer with a passion for designing innovative power conversion solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a cross-functional technical team to develop and optimize products for various vehicle applications. You’ll also provide ongoing support for existing products, ensuring reliability and performance across the entire lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the design and development of advanced power conversion systems for multiple vehicle platforms.
  • Support existing product lines by troubleshooting issues and proposing improvements.
  • Create hardware specifications, circuit designs, operational theories, and choose appropriate components based on product requirements.
  • Work closely with PCB and Mechanical Engineers to maximize efficiency, contain electromagnetic interference (EMI), and manage thermal constraints.
  • Partner with Software Engineers to outline control and protection strategies for power stages.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Engineers to analyze test outcomes and help resolve non-compliance issues.
  • Research and recommend replacements for power electronic components nearing obsolescence or end-of-life status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in high-frequency, high-power electronics design for vehicle applications (e.g., LV . DC-DC. HV DC-DC. DC-AC. motor drives).
  • Proficiency in resonant conversion and soft-switching topologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to design high-frequency custom magnetics.
  • Experience performing circuit simulations and thermal assessments.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with manufacturing and other engineering teams.
  • Proven track record of balancing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Software & Tools

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using LTSpice or similar circuit simulation tools.
