*JOB DESCRIPTION *

FOX News Media is looking for a hardworking Production Assistant to help launch a multi-vertical news program. As a Production Assistant, you will find and cut the most compelling videos while creating informative, catchy graphics to visually tell the story. The Production Assistant must have a passion for current events and enjoy working in a fast-paced, breaking news environment. An understanding of national politics and interest in general news is required.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create and edit compelling videos and graphics

• Pitch story ideas and help produce segments

• Conduct research

• Identify and help book potential guests for stories

• Work alongside team members to produce content for social media

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• A Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience

• Internship or work experience in a newsroom

• Bilingual (Spanish and English) is required

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced atmosphere

• Flexibility to work various shifts when needed

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments

• A motivated, self-starter attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $18.25-25.00 per hour for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
