Job Description

The Project Manager’s responsibilities include direct oversight and review of the entire construction process and working with other key personnel, to include the Project Superintendent, Quality Control Manager and Safety Manager. The Project Manager reports to the Division Manager.

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project progress schedules.
  • Perform and/or assist on project buyout/procurement.
  • Develop vendor purchase orders.
  • Develop subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Track procurement and ensure installation schedules are met.
  • Administer the prime contract and subcontracts.
  • Develop and negotiate project change order for clients and subcontractors.
  • Review plans and specifications to ensure requirements are met for each construction process.
  • Develop and review submittals and RFI’s.
  • Develop and maintain project logs for submittals, RFI’s, modifications, etc.
  • Maintain contract documents and updates.
  • Maintain project documentation in project files.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings and provide monthly reporting to management.
  • Complete project cost projections/cost reports on a monthly basis.
  • Manage project budgets and costs.
  • Conduct project meetings with subcontractor, clients, and designers.
  • Conduct pre-installation meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  • Conduct final inspections/meetings with clients.
  • Coordinate client/parish/county/State Fire Marshal inspections.
  • Perform project closeout.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager for a General Contractor
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in email communication and Microsoft Office
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must pass drug test/background check requirements for Federal work
  •  Must pass Military Installation background check to be badged for each facility
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Federal Construction experience
  •  Experience with the Federal Quality Control system requirements
  •  Experience working on Design Build projects
  • Construction experience working in a government secure facility
  •  Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent technical degree
  • Current - Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQMC) Certification
  •  OSHA – 30 Hour
