Public Relations Senior Account Executive, Travel & Tourism TURNER, a full-service public relations and digital communications agency specializing in travel, tourism, and lifestyle brands, is seeking a Public Relations Senior Account Executive with a passion for storytelling and media relations in the travel industry. Candidates should have 3-7 years of media relations experience with proven results, particularly in travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. In-house candidates interested in agency work are encouraged to apply. This hybrid role is based in Denver, requiring two days per week in the office. Responsibilities include: Supporting daily activities for designated travel/tourism accounts as part of a team Focusing 70% of time on proactive media relations, consumer media, and thought leadership Maintaining relationships with top-tier national and regional media Planning and managing media missions and events Organizing group media tours, including international travel Understanding client objectives and developing compelling story angles Writing and editing client collateral such as press releases, media alerts, pitches, bios, and fact sheets Managing junior staff's media and client relations efforts Staying updated on media trends and incorporating them into strategies Assisting with team management, resources, and deadlines Engaging with clients through meetings and events Monitoring industry news, including AI's impact on media relations Proactively pitching story ideas to media Reviewing pitches prepared by junior staff Required Skills and Qualifications: 3-7 years of experience in communications, preferably in travel/tourism/hospitality Established relationships with national and regional media Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Experience coordinating media tours and events Strong writing skills with attention to detail; proficiency in AP Style Experience with social media tools and integrating social media into PR strategies Proficiency with Cision and Muck Rack platforms Understanding of influencer vetting tools is a plus Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (current passport and driver’s license required) Passion for travel and tourism industries; ability to spot trends Additional Preferences: Travel experience or relevant hobbies Published work or personal blogs (please include links) About TURNER TURNER, part of The Shipyard Collective, offers integrated PR, social media, and digital communications, representing top destinations, resorts, and brands.
