We specialize in program and project management, capital planning and IT investment portfolio management, infrastructure support and application development deployment to include IT operations and maintenance. Raye IT is looking for an innovative and experienced QA Analyst to support a federal client within the Washington, D.C. area. The QA Analyst will collaborate with other technical staff to create effective and reliable software updates and hotfixes to support the customers user base. As a software QA Analyst you can put your passion for QA testing to work and help optimize the customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and design application and software testing processes.
• Monitor system and software functionality.
• Ensure offerings are entirely functional and provide quality assurance for software products.
• Working closely with the developers to ensure code quality to industry standards and delivery of required application features per client requirements.
• Automated testing and problem-solving of various tasks that work towards a development process.
• Establish and implement rigorous reporting and automated monitoring systems.
• Advise best practices and optimizations throughout testing and bug-fixing processes.
• Collaborate with fellow software developers to create test plans and new approaches for seeking out bugs and exploits in end-user-facing applications.
• Establish and implement rigorous reporting and automated monitoring systems.
• Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
• Implement feedback and changes whenever possible.

Qualifications

• QA Certification such as Six Sigma, CSTE, CSQA
• 5 -7 of software testing experience
• Experienced in using DevOps tools and Azure DevOps.
• Experienced the quality assurance and security in the Application Development Life Cycle.
• Experienced in automating the QA testing to make testing faster and deploying the applications faster.
• Experienced in writing SQL queries to validate data quality in backend databases.
• Knowledge of .NET Core, specifically C# and using JustMock to write unit tests and scripts

• Strong written and verbal communication skills working with software development teams.

• Analytical approach to troubleshooting

• Time management skills and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently

• Attention to detail

• Familiarity with company-recommended QA rubrics and software development frameworks

Security Clearance Requirement : Public Trust.

Place of Performance: Silver Spring, MD (hybrid)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Hybrid)
