Family Nanny Position In Lake Forest, Illinois

A warm and busy family in Lake Forest, Illinois is seeking a full-time, live-in nanny to care for their two bright, energetic daughters, ages 5 and 7. Both girls attend a local private school and enjoy playing outside, dressing up, and spontaneous dance parties. The family also includes an eight-year-old West Highland White Terrier, who is sweet and friendly. They have a strong support team in place, including a chef, a housekeeper, a personal assistant, and home service providers. The nanny will be provided a private apartment above the garage, including a bedroom, bathroom, and separate entrance, with easy access to the family's home gym. This role will also be expected to travel with the family approximately 10 weeks per year.

General Schedule Overview

MondayThursday:

• 7:15 AM 8:15 AM: Morning routine and school drop-off
• 1:00 PM 7:30 PM: Prep for afternoon, activities, dinner, and bedtime

Friday: Off

Saturday & Sunday: 12:00 PM 5:30 PM

This role will start in September 2025 and the family is open to relocating for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, reliable care for the children
• Oversee morning and after-school routines
• Support educational growth and light tutoring
• Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities
• Assist with homework and promote positive habits
• Transport children to school, activities, and appointments
• Walk the family dog and assist with occasional grooming or vet visits
• Manage light housekeeping and children's laundry
• Keep children's spaces organized and encourage tidy habits
• Coordinate and maintain the family's shared calendar (appointments, tutoring, activities)
• Run occasional errands or assist with household management tasks
• Order household items and groceries for delivery

Qualifications

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license with clean record
• Comfortable with pets
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Salary And Benefits

• Compensation $90,000 - $105,000 base salary
• Private apartment provided
