About Us

We are an early-stage biotechnology company developing a platform that applies state-of-the-art genome editors at the very beginning of the biological lifecycle. Our work sits at the intersection of gene correction and developmental biology, addressing genetic challenges that conventional therapies cannot solve. Scientific rigor, safe development and long-term responsibility are central to how we approach this work.

We’re assembling a small, founder-level team of entrepreneurial scientists who want to see their work redefine what’s possible in human health. This role is required to be fully onsite in the Bay Area.

What You’ll Do

• Design and execute genome-editing strategies in pre-implantation mammalian systems (mouse, NHP, and ex vivo human models).
• Develop and optimize RT/Prime, base-editing, and nuclease platforms—including editor design, guide screening, delivery, and validation—for early-stage cellular contexts.
• Perform microinjection, electroporation, and alternative delivery techniques in zygotes and early embryos; oversee downstream culture, genotyping, and phenotyping.
• Build in-house pipelines for off-target analysis (NGS, long-read, single-cell) and functional assays of developmental fitness.
• Coordinate with external CROs on transgenic animal generation and specialized assays.
• Mentor junior scientists, influence company culture, shape the technical roadmap, and contribute to IP strategy.

You Might Be a Great Fit If You Have (not all required)

• PhD or equivalent experience (5+ years) in Molecular Biology, Developmental Biology, Genetics, Bioengineering, or related field.
• Hands-on work with programmable editors (CRISPR, Prime editing, base editing, nickase or RT systems) and proficiency in guide design & NGS analysis.
• Deep expertise in embryology and microinjection—e.g., mouse zygote injections, ICSI, embryo culture, ES/iPSC chimera generation.
• A track record of generating or characterizing transmissible edits in animal models.
• Prior start-up or small-team experience (seed- to Series B) or evidence of exceptional resourcefulness in an academic setting.
• Bonus: experience with LNPs or viral vectors, reproductive toxicology, or regulatory strategy for inherited interventions.
