Position Summary

Were looking for a friendly and reliable Bouncer/Security Guard to join our team! Tucked into a corner of Long Beachs diverse and iconic Broadway corridor, our regular clientele are our very own neighbors. Youll play an important part in keeping our venue safe and enjoyable for everyone. This role is all about greeting guests with a smile, checking IDs to make sure age requirements are met, and helping maintain a welcoming, accepting, and inclusive atmosphere.

Position Schedule

Primary core hours Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings and nights (7pm to 12pm) with ability and desire to work occasional expanded hours upon request due to holidays or special events during the week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests and check IDs to verify legal drinking age
• Monitor guest behavior and de-escalate conflicts professionally
• Enforce bar rules and occupancy limits
• Refuse entry to individuals who are visibly intoxicated or disorderly
• Patrol the bar, entrance, and surrounding premises to deter and respond to disturbances or suspicious activity
• Remove individuals causing disruptions or posing safety threats, using appropriate force if necessary
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when needed
• Complete incident reports and communicate concerns to management
• Support staff in handling difficult situations or emergencies
• Ensure exits and access points are not blocked and comply with fire code regulations

Minimum Experience

• Age 21+
• Valid security license or guard card
• Fluency in English
• Ability to connect with people positively and provide innate customer service at a level that retains existing customers and attracts new prospects.
• Physical Demands: Standing for long periods of time, walking perimeter (which includes being able to navigate some uneven terrain and tight spaces); ability to hear and speak; close vision (ability to read ID cards) and distance vision; regular use of arms, hands and fingers; ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, and ability/strength/agility to break up altercations or remove patrons from the facilities

Wages and Benefits
