What We Need

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Data Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing clinical data architectures to support our quality, risk adjustment, and interoperability initiatives. This is a key leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, excellent communication and project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

1. Develop and execute a comprehensive clinical data architecture strategy aligned with organizational goals and business capabilities.
2. Provide strategic direction and execute on payor and provider clinical data exchanges.
3. Stay informed about emerging trends in clinical data management and interoperability, leveraging knowledge to enhance data strategies.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical operations, performance measurement, and risk adjustment, to execute data procurement and usage strategies.
5. Develop and implement clinical data management standards, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
6. Participate in clinical data management audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
7. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of clinical data, including data cleaning, validation, and analysis.
8. Support and resolve vendor data integration issues, such as data mapping, transformation, and normalization.
9. Collaborate with external vendors, providers, and partners to ensure high-quality clinical data delivery.
10. Develop and maintain clinical data management metrics and reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
11. Develop and implement data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCDAs) focusing on interoperability for seamless data exchange.
12. Build standard clinical data and analytics solution patterns for reuse across products and applications.
13. Influence enterprise architecture designs for clinical data domains and contribute to the IT roadmap.
14. Partner with solution architects, engineering, product, and operations teams to build scalable solutions.
15. Identify and document architecturally significant aspects of systems.
16. Ensure consistent use of technologies within data and analytics ecosystems.
17. Lead or participate in architecture and design project planning, providing estimates.

We’re Looking for:

1. Deep knowledge of the clinical data domain within healthcare providers (EHR, EMRs) and payors (Claims, Labs, ADTs, Quality measures).
2. Leadership experience in clinical data integration, data exchanges, technology implementations, and industry standards for data sharing.
3. Ability to collaborate with peers, leaders, and stakeholders internally and externally to evolve clinical data strategies and solve business needs.
4. Adaptability to changing needs within the clinical data and interoperability domain.

What You Bring

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. 10+ years of experience in healthcare, clinical data integration/exchange, and interoperability roles.
3. 7+ years working with SQL or NoSQL databases such as Oracle, Netezza, Postgres, Snowflake, or DB2.
4. 5+ years of solutioning experience in AWS cloud services for storage, processing, and analyzing large data volumes.
5. 5+ years of programming experience with Python, Java, and ETL tools like Informatica.
6. Experience in participating in review boards and compliance activities.

Time Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $188,190 - $230,010

The posted salary range is an estimate of what we might pay at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on education, experience, and other factors. This role is eligible for variable pay and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, insurance options, 401(k), and well-being benefits.
